Tony Horton, creator of the popular P90X workout DVD series, made an appearance on the Today Show and demonstrated some of the exercise routine for the abdominal muscles and core muscle group just in time to get toned and shaped up for summer. Beyond the sheer pleasure of achieving the much desired washboard abs, strengthening abdominal and core muscle groups is essential for balance and stability and will enable you to be more successful working other muscles groups in both the upper and lower body.
