Renown fitness expert, exercise physiologist and elite endurance athlete Tom Holland offers some workout and fitness tips in the video. He is author of the book Beat the Gym: Personal Trainer Secrets–Without the Personal Trainer Price Tag, the workout DVD series Supreme 90 Day and the best-selling Abs Diet Workout.
He said that foremost, people who want to get started with an exercise program must “just do it consistently.” And from that starting point he notes that it is important to “do it correctly with the right intensity.” He adds, “Just get started and have a plan. If you can do those two things, you will be successful.” He has observed the common error in strength training for men is that they lift weights that are too heavy, whereas women lift weights that are too light.
Regarding his book, Beat the Gym: Personal Trainer Secrets–Without the Personal Trainer Price Tag, Tom Holland said his intent was to show people how to succeed at the gym by doing the routines correctly. He noted that having a personal trainer is not necessary. He encourages people to use motivators such as wanting to slim down for warmer weather or to to wear a bikini to help them stay consistent with their efforts.
