Dancing with the Stars Diet: How DWTS Celebrities Lose Weight (Video)

The Dancing with the Stars diet is drawing notice, as we see the results; Nancy Grace 23 lost pounds, Ricky Lake 20 lost pounds and Chaz Bono 18 lost pounds this season. Check out a report (video above) by former DWTS contestant and GMA contributor Melissa Rycroft, broadcast on Good Morning America Mon. Nov. 7, 2011, revealing some details of the diet plan. The report notes that the popular reality TV show on ABC has produced the aforementioned weight loss success this season dance rehearsals burn 250 calories an hour on average; multiply by the 30 hours of weekly rehearsals for a calorie deficit of 7,500 that of itself it enough to produce a two pound weight loss per week, and goes on to unveil the food plan that deserves credit as well.

The diet plan is from Freshology, and is comprised of calorie controlled gourmet meals made with organic ingredients. Whether one opts for the meal plan or not, it goes to show the prevailing trend away from reduced calorie processed foods for dieters towards the fresh, natural healthy foods that really make the difference in weight loss, saving us from unnatural food ingredients and helping us to overcome cravings for the unhealthy foods. Dancing with the Stars has been a constant reminder of what really works for weight loss, physical exercise — and the key is finding something we enjoy doing, yes perhaps ballroom dancing — along with the diet that will enhance and sustain health.
