The new series on ABC has created a great deal of interest both in the special diet — The Carb Cycle Solution (also detailed in his book, Choose to Lose: The 7-Day Carb Cycle Solution — as well as the fitness routines that have produced amazing results with the super obese (BMI of 50 or more, and 200+ pounds to lose).
The advantage is that everyone has a chair, Chris Powell points out. So no excuses. If you have a chair at home — and really who doesn’t?! — and three or four square feet you can do the chair workout.
Becoming motivated to get started on exercise to lose weight is the crucial element. All the fitness equipment and chairs in the world can’t help us if we don’t use them. You will start when you are ready to make the change — when you are at an unbearable place in life and you don’t want to be there anymore, you will change.
The workout consists exercises that will work the entire upper and lower body, hitting key muscle groups in the chest, arms, and legs as well as the core muscles, so essential for balance, stability and posture. The routine is scalable, so you can adapt it according to your fitness level.
